NSCN Board Nominations & Election Update
From March 4, 2025 to March 31, 2025, the NSCN Nominating Committee began the process to find three qualified registrants to serve on the Board and help regulate the practice of nursing in the public’s interest.
The Nominating Committee selected three nominees through a thorough application and review process to help with their goal of creating a Board that is balanced in desired competencies, skills and attributes, as well reflecting diversity in its composition. After reviewing all of the applications, the committee has advanced for election three registrants needed to fill the Board vacancies:
- Carol-Anne Miller, LPN
- Keely Anderson, LPN
- Opeyemi Adeyi, RN

Election Process
The Nominating Committee notified the pool of eligible candidates of the three selected candidates to advance as the nominees. The remaining pool of eligible candidates had the opportunity to put their name forward to also be included on the election ballot. No additional candidates put their name forward. As a result, an election is not required, and the three selected nominees will be appointed to the Board by acclamation as per NSCN By-law 10A.8
New By-Law for Publication of Employer’s Contact Information for Authorized Prescribers
On June 2, 2025, a new by-law will come into effect that will enable NSCN to publish all authorized prescribers (APs) employer contact information via Search for a Nurse on the NSCN website. This by-law requires APs to maintain their most up to date employer contact information on the registrant portal, and update that contact information within 30 days of change of information.
View our online resource for step-by-step instructions on how to update employer contact information on the NSCN registrant portal and read our Q&A for more information on the new by-law.
NSCN is also hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 8th at 3:00pm, which will provide an overview of the by-law and will walk through how to update employer contact information on the portal. Register for the Webinar.
