The Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) is hosting the Supporting Professional Practice in Nursing Workshop on December 4, 2025, from 8:30am - 2:30pm at the Future Inns Halifax Hotel and Conference Centre. See below for further event details.
Based on our analysis of practice consultation, a needs assessment survey, and the success of four workshops in 2024 and 2025, NSCN will once again host a workshop for Managers (both nurse and non-nurses), Clinical Nurse Educators, Professional Practice Leads and others that support nurses in professional practice. Please note: NSCN held a workshop in June 2025 in Yarmouth and September 2025 in Millbrook and this workshop will deliver the same content/agenda.
Topics at the workshop will include:
- Session 1: What’s new at NSCN? Panel discussion and Q&A on emerging topics in nursing regulation
- Session 2: Nursing Scope of Practice and the 3-Factor Framework
- Session 3: Right-Touch Regulation
- Session 4: Supporting Nurses with Professional Practice Issues
