An important part of our work is carried out through regulatory committees that help us fulfill our mandate to protect the public. NSCN currently has eight regulatory committees.
These committees operate at arm’s length from our daily activities and are made up of volunteer nurses and members of the public. Together, committee members are tasked to make fair and objective decisions related to nurse registration, licensing, professional practice, and conduct in Nova Scotia.
