Meet NSCN’s New CEO & Registrar, Douglas Bungay

We’re delighted to introduce Douglas Bungay as the new CEO & Registrar of the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN).

Doug brings nearly four decades of experience in nursing and regulation, alongside a deep-rooted commitment to public safety. His career spans front-line nursing, practice leadership in administration, and nursing regulation, giving him a keen understanding of Nova Scotia’s health system.

Get to Know Doug – Fun Facts:

  • When he’s not leading NSCN, Doug is active in sports particularly curling and softball. What he lacks in skill, he makes up in passion for the games!
  • He is a proud dog dad to two chihuahuas named Francis and Kevin.
  • His favourite travel destination? Mexico! The people, beaches and tacos are hard to beat!
  • As NSCN’s new CEO & Registrar, Doug is most looking forward to continuing to build relationships and working collaboratively with system partners to further NSCN’s public protection mandate.
