Change Personal Information

As a self-regulated professional, it is your responsibility to ensure that your name, contact and employment information is up-to-date on our records. If at any time you need to change your personal information, there is an easy and efficient way to do this online or through email.

Updating Your Personal Information

Log into the Registrant Portal using your email address and password. Select the ‘profile update’ tab. You will be taken to the profile update form and you can select the information you wish to change. If your change requires approval, NSCN staff will be notified to confirm and approve. Once approved, your information will become active on your profile.

Reset Your Password

To reset your password, go to the portal page here. Request a password reset by clicking ‘Forgot your password’.

You will be directed to input your email address you provided to NSCN, as well as to put in a security code. When you click ‘submit’ after entering this information, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions provided in the email and you will create a new password for you to log into your account.

 Request a Name Change

If you have changed your legal name, there are two ways to make this change:

  1. Through the portal
  2. By mail

No documentation is required if you are returning to the use of your birth name. Contact us at registration@nscn.ca if you would like to return to using your birth name. 

If you are requesting a change of your legal name through the portal, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Registrant Portal using your email address and password. If you are having trouble logging into the portal, please follow the directions on the portal homepage by clicking ‘Forgot my password’.  
  2. Upload a clear copy of the supporting documentation for the name change (e.g. marriage certificate, change of name certificate) in the portal under the ‘profile update’ tab. We can only accept documentation that is in a PDF, DOCX, DOC or JPG type files. 

If you are requesting a change of your legal name through mail, please follow these steps:

  1. Send a letter containing the name we currently have on file for you and your new legal name to:

  2.  Include a clear copy of the supporting documentation for the name change in the envelope (e.g. marriage certificate, change of name certificate).
