Continuing Competence Program Audit Paused for 2026
There will be no Continuing Competence Program (CCP) audit for nurses for 2026. This year will be used to prepare a modernized approach to CCP under the new Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). The plan is to relaunch the CCP audit in 2027.
2026 Expectations
Although there will not be an audit in 2026, all nurses are still accountable to participate in the current CCP. This includes:
- A self-assessment of your competence to identify areas of growth.
- Development of a professional growth plan to achieve learning goals for the year. The CCP module in the NSCN registrant portal allows you to develop your professional growth plan directly in the portal so you can save it and update it throughout the year.
- A reflective evaluation of the impact of the growth plan on your practice.
