nurse volunteer dealing with community member
June 5, 2026

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is currently recruiting qualified registered nurses (RNs) to participate in two upcoming NCLEX-RN examination meetings. These panels play an essential role in ensuring the exam continues to reflect current nursing practice.

NCSBN is seeking RNs who work with entry-level nurses and meet the following qualifications:

  1. Hold an active RN licence
  2. Are engaged in current clinical practice
  3. Supervise, precept, or mentor newly licensed RNs within their first 12 months of practice

The two meetings will take place at the NCSBN office in Chicago, Illinois*:

  1. NCLEX-RN Practice Analysis Expert Panel – October 13-14, 2026
  2. NCLEX-RN Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Expert Panel – November 17-18, 2026

*Please note all travel expenses, including airfares and accommodations, are covered by NCSBN.

These volunteer opportunities allow nurses to contribute directly to the development of the NCLEX-RN exam, which assesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities for safe and effective entry-level nursing practice.

If you are interested, please respond directly by emailing trent.macisaac@nscn.ca by Wednesday June 24.
