On June 5th, NSCN hosted our third Supporting Professional Practice in Nursing Workshop in Yarmouth. This workshop is designed for Managers (both nurse and non-nurses), Clinical Nurse Educators, and Professional Practice Leads, and provides the opportunity to explore key topics that will guide them in supporting nurses in professional practice.
The workshop was identified as a priority based on insights gathered through practice consultation, a needs assessment survey, and the strong engagement and positive feedback from two similar workshops held in 2024.
The day featured a range of sessions, including a panel discussion and Q&A on emerging topics in nursing regulation. Other topics included the scope of practice and the three-factor framework, right-touch regulation, and supporting nurses with professional practice issues.
Want to attend the next workshop? Keep an eye on our newsletter and website for details about our upcoming workshop, coming September 18, 2025 at the Hampton Inn in Millbrook.
