We developed the Professional Boundaries and the Nurse-Client Relationship: Guidelines for Nurses as a resource for nurses in all practice settings to assist their understanding of:
- the therapeutic nurse-client relationship
- personal non-professional relationships
- professional boundaries
- boundary crossings
- boundary violations
- relationships with current and former clients
This practice support tool also includes strategies to maintain the therapeutic nurse-client relationship and professional boundaries.
