On June 2, 2025, a new by-law will come into effect and enable NSCN to publish employer contact information via “Search for a Nurse” on the NSCN website for all authorized prescribers (APs), including nurse practitioners and registered nurse prescribers. This by-law requires APs to maintain their most up to date employer contact information in the registrant portal, and update employer contact information within 30 days of change.

Including current employer contact information under “Search for a Nurse” and ensuring it is updated when changed, is a public safety measure. It provides health care facilities and or other professionals with the contact information they need to communicate with APs about referrals, clients test results or other care related items. This can prevent delays in client care and treatment by ensuring they can share vital client information in a timely manner.

All APs are required to update their current contact information in the NSCN registrant portal before June 2. View our online resource for step-by-step instructions on how to update employer contact information in the portal and read our Q&A for more information on the new by-law.

NSCN is also hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 8th at 3:00pm, which will provide an overview of the by-law and will walk through how to update employer contact information on the NSCN registrant portal. Please note: this webinar is for NPs and RN Authorized Prescribers only. Register for the Webinar.
