Consultation Overview

This is a revised practice guideline replacing the singular legacy College document on fitness to practise and incapacity. We requested feedback from members of the public, nurses, managers and employers to ensure we developed a relevant and useful practice guideline that will support nurses to provide safe, competent, compassionate and ethical nursing services.

Consultation Participation and Response

We requested feedback using an online survey and received responses from three stakeholders with two respondents having suggestions to review for clarity specifically related to the conduct component.

Impact on the Project

Thank you for providing your feedback on the Fitness to Practise and Incapacity Practice Guideline. Below explains how we incorporated this feedback into the guideline.

There was a request to more clearly articulate the fitness to practise process. We collaborated with NSCNs professional conduct team to add a section to the document to clarify.
