The Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) launched the expedited registration and licensure process for international applicants from seven designated countries – the Philippines, India, Nigeria, USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand on Monday, May 1, 2023. As previously stated, the new expedited registration process will shorten the processing time from months to a matter of weeks.

** The above information is for received applications. It is important to note that applications are not considered complete until payment and associated documents have been provided, such as identification documents, verification of registration from the designated country and criminal record check.

Since March 29, 2023, NSCN has have issued 248 licences to domestic nurses, also licenced in other Canadian provinces.
