NP MAiD Eligibility Assessments Can Now be Completed Virtually

Nurse with patient
July 29, 2020

The requirement for nurse practitioner MAiD eligibility assessments to be conducted in person has been removed. This change supports the provision of an eligibility assessment virtually by a nurse practitioner when physical distancing requirements are in place.

See our Medical Assistance in Dying A Practice Guideline for NPs, revised July 2020, for more information.
